How to create an SEO Friendly Website Design Structure?

There are so many ways to create an SEO friendly website depending on the individuals who would tell their experiences about it. This is because not every tool might work for everyone especially that online businesses differ from one another as well. I rather you stick with the basic strategies if you are just starting on this kind of field. You can learn more strategies as you go along the way anyway. Here are some of the tips that might help you obtain an SEO friendly website basing on what I have observed:

    SEO Friendly Website Design
  1.  Focus on creating more content on your pages instead of images alone. You can utilize these contents as SEO marketing tools.
  2. Make sure you use appropriate tags to images and posts.
  3. Never spam potential clients.
  4. See to it that you respond with relevant answers if you opt to participate at community forums.
  5. Make your site look modern and fresh for everyone. Most web owners prefer blues and greens as their theme colors for web pages.
  6. See to it that your site can load quickly. Most visitors will turn their back on you if it takes so long before your page loads.
  7. These are just some of the things you might apply in your site.

  • Avoid using Flash as Search Engine Spiders Don’t Index Flash. However, if its absolutely necessary you must include an alternative textual description for your Flash file.
  • Avoid using Frames as None of the content inside of your frames is indexable by the Search Engine Spiders. However, if its absolutely necessary you must use a <NOFRAMES> tag so that the search engine spiders can index at least some of your content.

What Is a Sitemap?

Sitemaps are a way to tell Google about pages on your site we might not otherwise discover. In its simplest terms, a XML Sitemap—usually called Sitemap, with a capital S—is a list of the pages on your website.
Creating and submitting a Sitemap helps make sure that Google knows about all the pages on your site, including URLs that may not be discoverable by Google’s normal crawling process.
Sitemap
A site map is one page or sometimes a set of pages, which lists all, or most of the pages on a web site.

What is a Sitemap.xml ?

What is a Sitemap file? Basically, a Sitemap provides a listing of pages on a website. By creating a Sitemap and submitting it to Google, the webmaster ensures that the search engine will have all the needed details about a site. That way, Google will be able to find URLs that cannot be found when Googlebot crawls the web.

A Sitemap is also a practical reference to Google for providing metadata about certain kinds of content, including images, news, mobile and video. For instance, inputting data regarding an image can alert Google as to the topic of the photo, license, and type. A Sitemap also is used to indicate when the content on a site is changed or how often it will be altered.

A Sitemap is especially useful for sites that feature images that may be hard to find by Googlebot or contain pages that aren’t linked or have few included links. Sites that contain compelling information or content can also benefit by the creation of a Sitemap. As a result, the information provided by a Sitemap enables Google to assess the framework of a site and better crawl a site.

What do you think of using XML Sitemaps?

XML Sitemaps are important. It helps search engines crawling your site and articles. Google, Bing, Yahoo and Ask support the Sitemaps protocol that lets the four biggest search engines have the updated page information. Sitemaps do not guarantee all links will be crawled, and being crawled does not guarantee indexing.

Most importantly, when you have a site that is not crawlable for some reason. Using an XML sitemap will help the search engines know about and discover your URLs on your site that they could not find due to your site’s crawlablity issues.

Also, when you have a site with 1000′s of URLs, using an XML sitemap allows you to set priorities of your URLs so Google and other engines know which URLs you feel are most important and should be indexed first before indexing other URLs on your site.

What is the difference between SEO and SEM?

The Difference Between SEM and SEO

SEO vs. SEM

SEO is Search Engine Optimization and is the process you use in getting better search engine ranking results for your pages. Typical SEO activities may include optimising the HTML and other content of your website for relevant, targeted key phrases in order to attain higher organic listings than competing websites.

SEO and SEM
SEM is Search Engine Marketing and involves purchasing advertising space on search engine result pages like Sponsored listings (that you see at the top in a Google Search Engine Results Page). You generally use SEM via Paid Inclusion into a search engine/directory, Traditional Ads on SERP’s and via Pay-Per-Click (PPC) Advertising (Google Adwords, Yahoo Ad Campaign etc).

Both are related in a way that both work towards increasing traffic to your site. Nevertheless, SEO must be your first step in promoting your site as Good SEO would avoid you to spend additional money on advertising and paid placement.

What is SEO?

SEO
SEO is an acronym for Search Engine Optimization. SEO is the art and science of configuring a webpage so that it is found, read, and indexed by search engines in the most effective manner possible, making your website and its content attractive, relevant and visible to search engines and Web surfers. Normally there are two major steps taken for this to be done correctly to make a website search-engine-friendly.

1) All relevant areas of each webpage on the site must be thoroughly examined, structured, and tweaked, so when search spiders are indexing the site they are given the best possible picture to what the website is all about.

2) Individual pages must specifically target the best Keywords and Keyphrases that are interfaced with original content that best describes the nature of the website. These pages must be energetic by providing useful information to surfers, and clue search spiders precisely what you have to offer and provide supporting back-up for your other related keywords, phrases, and links.

What is SEM?

SEM
SEM is an acronym for Search Engine Marketing and it is used to describe acts associated with researching, submitting and positioning the website within search engines to achieve maximum exposure of your website. SEM includes things such as SEO, paid listings (e.g. directories, search engines) and marketing, banner, text and links campaigns, affiliate programs, and other search related services and functions that will increase exposure and traffic to your website.

What is A Backlink?

A backlink is simply another live link on the Internet that directs back to the site that is being promoted. The ultimate goal of an seo campaign is to create many backlinks, therefore causing an increase in notoriety and presence for the site. Backlink production takes time and a hands on approach to accomplish correctly. These backlinks should be produced by writing press releases, ezine articles, blog posting and forum posting. Any seo company that uses some automated software secret program is not the real deal.

What is A Backlink?
"Backlink" is a term that refers to links that point to a website or webpage from another website. This type of link also might be called an inlink or incoming link. Backlinks on other sites can increase a website's traffic. They also are tools used in search engine optimization (SEO), because the number and quality of backlinks that point to a website's often plays a role in the site's rank among search results.

Linking

A link allows an Internet user to click on it to navigate to or open a different webpage. When the webpage that is opened is on a completely different website from the one where the link appeared, the link would be considered a backlink for that new site. The backlink might appear as a uniform resource locator (URL), also called an Internet address or web address, or it might be a word or phrase that has the link embedded. The word or phrase usually will be highlighted in some way, such as in bold type or underlined, to let the reader know that it can be clicked on to follow a link.

Importance of Backlinks

Website owners often try to increase the number of visitors that their sites receive by increasing the number of backlinks to their sites. There are several ways that backlinks can be created. All of them might increase a site's traffic, simply because Internet users will have more opportunities to click on links to the site, but not all types of backlinks will improve a site's search engine ranking. This is because most search engines will evaluate the quality of the backlink based on things such as the popularity and nature of the site from which it originates. For example, a backlink from a website that exists only to provide backlinks to other sites — usually for a fee — is unlikely to improve a site's search engine ranking.

Link Exchanges

One way for a website owner to increase the number of backlinks that his or her site has is by creating partnerships with website owners whose sites are focused on similar topics and exchanging links. For example, someone whose website focuses on techniques for making flower arrangements might seek to partner with websites for florists, gardening stores, wedding boutiques and home décor shops. By linking to these websites on his or her site in exchange for those sites linking to his or her site, the owner of the flower arrangement website will increase the site's number of backlinks and will provide backlinks for the partner sites. Although this type of link exchange is popular among websites that focus on similar topics, it is unlikely for competing websites that focus on the same topic or have the same purpose to provide backlinks to each other.

Reviewers and Aggregators

Sites that review other websites or aggregate news or interesting items are another source of backlinks. These sites often will summarize a news story, blog post or webpage, then provide a link to it. Others look for interesting websites, review them and provide links to them. Many of the websites that provide these backlinks allow website owners to submit websites for review or allow Internet users to suggest webpages and other items to be aggregated. Personal blogs can serve a similar purpose and are another source of backlinks, especially when the blog's topic is related to the website to which the link points.

Commenting

Some website owners create backlinks by linking to their sites in comments on related webpages. For example, the owner of a website for an auto repair shop might comment on a webpage that has a new item about cars and could include a link to his or her site. It can take time to create backlinks this way, but this method can be effective.

Link Spamming

There are some websites and services that will charge a fee to increase the number of backlinks for a site. Some of these websites will disguise themselves as news sites or other commercial sites in order to keep search engines from diminishing the value of the backlinks. Backlink services often will engage in what is called link spamming — placing links on as many websites as possible, no matter what the purpose or quality of those websites is. For example, a computer program can randomly "crawl" the Internet automatically place links on any webpages that allow it to post a comment, even if the link has nothing to do with that webpage. Most search engines will try to prevent these types of backlinks from affecting their search result page rankings.

What Is the Minimum Size for The Description Tag?

The meta description tag is a portion of Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) code -- HTML is a text description language used for formatting and displaying documents on the World Wide Web -- that appears at the top of a Web page. It contains one or two descriptive sentences, usually less than 200 words, which summarize the content of the page. The meta description tag is supported by all major Web browsers

What is a Meta Description?

What Is the Minimum Size for The Description Tag
Meta description tags, while not important to search engine rankings, are extremely important in gaining user click-through from search engine result pages (SERPs). These short paragraphs are webmasters opportunity to advertise content to searchers and let them know exactly what the given page has with regard to what they’re looking for.

The meta description should employ the keywords intelligently, but also create a compelling description that a searcher will want to click. Direct relevance to the page and uniqueness between each page’s meta description is key. The description should optimally be between 150-160 characters.

<meta name"description" content="Here is a description of the applicable page">

Definition

A description meta tag appears between the "<head>" tags of a Web page and contains a short description of that page. The description on the home page of a site might contain an overview of the site itself. Users won't see the meta description while they're on your site, but it may appear as a search result "snippet" if it contains the search keywords. You can see the meta description of any Web page by viewing the page's source code.

Minimum Description Size

There is no minimum required size for a description tag, and a tag of just 10 characters wont "break" anything. Even pages without a description will still be indexed and appear in search results. If a user searches for unique keywords in your short description, Google will still use your description in the search result snippet, filling out the snippet with body text from your page. However, Google Webmaster Tools will flag pages with a description under 50 characters long on its "HTML Suggestions" page and suggest that you ensure your descriptions accurately describe your site's content.

Optimum Description Length

The length of a description tag can also be problematic if it's too long. Search result snippets have a fixed maximum length of 150 to 160 characters, depending on the search engine, so meta descriptions longer than that may be cut off on a results page. It can therefore be said that a meta description tag should be between 50 and 150 characters long to appear most consistently within search results.

Best Practices

Google highly recommends that you create meta descriptions that accurately describe the content of the corresponding pages. One short, well-crafted sentence can persuade a user to click through to your page. However, while for the vast majority of pages a description is helpful, some pages that can be found with a "long tail" of three or more keywords might be better off without a meta description at all, so that the keywords are more likely to appear in the search result snippet.

How Important Are Meta Tags Today?

Meta Tags have been one of the most basic elements of SEO. It is a must to know for every SEO practitioner.

Meta Tags
Though meta keywords tag and meta description tags are not the main factor search engines consider when ranking sites, they should not be left off the page. A meta description tag is supposed to be a brief and concise summary of your page's content. A meta keyword tag is supposed to be a summary list of the most important words on your page. They were both proposed in order to make using the web easier. Unfortunately, webmasters over the years have abused meta tags so much that search engine creators have had to de-emphasize their importance in their algorithms.

Question: How important are metatags today?

Answers:

a) Not important at all.
b) They have only minor importance, but it can be neglected.
c) Somehow important.
d) Very important, almost as much as keyword density.
e) They are the single most important SEO tool.

Right Answer is c

Explanation: The correct answer is c. Meta tags are certainly not as important as keyword density but they still cannot be neglected completely.

There are three important parts of Meta tags that you can use:

1. Title – The title tag is the title text that is shown in search engine listings. I know that this is not necessarily a meta tag, but it similarly functions like one.

<title>Title text here</title>

2. Description – The meta description tag is where you would want to put your site’s summary. This is where you put what your site is all about and what you are offering people. It should not be too long because the search engines only read up to a certain number of words.

<meta name=”description” content=”This is where you put your site’s summary”/>

3. Keywords – The meta keywords tag is where you put all of the keywords you use in your site. This is basically where you want the words which will take you to the top of the SERPs page to be. Your keywords are important – even if you take away all of the other words, the user should be able to know what your site is all about when they read your keywords.

<meta name=”keywords” content=”SEO, SEO Services, Google, Search, etc”/>

These three things make up your meta tags.

The importance of meta tags is that the search engines read them in order to compare if these keywords and the description are related with the visible content. Are your keywords present in your webpage? Is your meta description related with your content and your site’s niche? There is certain weight in your meta tags that the search engines see, that being the reason, wouldn’t you want to do everything in order to bring your page a little bit higher in the SERPs? That’s exactly the reason why meta tags is important.

Tips for Keeps: Even if meta tags do not hold much water when it comes to page ranking, their importance is still present as the search engine robots validate their relativity to your content and site niche.

Could You Briefly Explain The PageRank Algorithm?

PageRank Algorithm is a sequence of instructions which different Search Engines use for the calculation of the search result i.e. SERP which comes after every search we made for a specific keyword.

What is E-Mail Marketing?

Email Marketing is a part of Internet marketing in which we make a direct mail marketing campaign for the promotion of a product or any service provider. It is very effective way I am going to explain it just right below for better understanding.

What Is E-Mail Marketing?
1) It is better way because we can sell our product and services easily to a person where ever he might be in this world. No Phone Calls, No Postal Fairs, No Paper for printing and also No time just only a simple click and our massage get delivered to any person in this world. It saves lots of time, cost as well as effort.

2) Direct mail campaign or E-mail campaign can be easily trackable. We can see how many users clicked our links on that mail which we send and can calculate its effectiveness. Also we can test different messages like we can change its headlines to see what should be the best and possible way to send a

What is Google Bombing / Google Bomb?

Google Bombing is one of the traditional SEO techniques in which spammers used to build back links in bulk with a common anchor text which is not related with the subject matter of the concerned website in order to get top positions on the search engine result pages (SERP).

what is Google Bombing?
It is related to Spamdexing, which is one of the SEO techniques to change on page factors like repeating unrelated keywords in Meta Tags or in the content section to get higher ranking in search engines.

A Google bomb or Google wash is an attempt to influence the ranking of a given site in results returned by the Google search engine. Due to the way that Google's PageRank algorithm works, a website will be ranked higher if the sites that link to that page all use consistent anchor text. Googlebomb is used both as a verb and a noun.

A Google bomb is an attempt to bias a search result on Google by increasing a Web page's PageRank algorithm not only considers keywords when determining PageRank, it also considers the number of other sites that link to a page and the words used in the link description. A successful Google bomb requires that a high number of Web sites (often blogs working together) link to a specific Web page using specific words in the hyperlink. Enlisting high-traffic sites is especially important when creating a Google bomb, as their outgoing hyperlinks weigh more in Google's search algorithm.

The first Google bomb occurred in 1999. While the creators remain anonymous, the existence of the bomb was revealed when pjammer, a user on memepool.com, posted a question that asked what Google found to be "more evil than satan himself." Users searching Google for the term found Microsoft's home page as the first link in the search results. The term itself was coined by Adam Mathes in 2001, when he wrote an article about how he bombed the term "talentless hack" to play a joke on a friend, graphic designer Andy Pressman.

One of the most famous Google bombs occured in 2004, when U.S. President George W. Bush was up for re-election. To experience this particular Google bomb, try searching for "miserable failure" on Google. The first return will be a link to the biography of George W. Bush on the official White House Web site. In order for the bomb to work, a large number of Web pages had to link to the White House biography page with the authors using the exact words "miserable failure" in their hyperlink descriptions.

For example, if a user registers many domains and all of them link to a main site with the text "... is a living legend" then searching for "living legend" on Google will return the main site higher in the ranking, even if the phrase "living legend" doesn't appear on the main site. A common means of exploiting this is through weblogs, where although the entry may disappear from the main page quickly, the short-term effects of a link can dramatically affect the ranking of a given site. Empirical results indicate that it does not take a large number of websites to achieve a Googlebomb. The effect has been achieved with only a handful of dedicated weblogs.

What Is The Difference Between Indexing And Caching?

These are very complicated terms to understand but this is very important for all webmasters to understand the difference between “Google Cache” and “Google Indexing”.

Google Indexing :

Indexing And Caching
Indexing is a process to make a webpage searchable on search engine whereas the process of caching refers to providing a reprinting content snapshot.

Indexing is a process which makes your webpage searchable on search engines. Means your webpage is stored into the Google’s database according to priority of the content.

lf we uploaded a new website, then first of all search engine crawler will read the site and after that they will store all its contents in its Index Data Base in a different format (by giving priority to the h1, h2, or bold, title, meta tags and main content) They will not place content as it was published on the internet. As a result, the site will appear in search results for optimized keywords and all Google calculation performed on this basis like assigning Page Rank.

For example, if we uploaded a new website, then first of all search engine crawler will read the site and after that, it will store all its contents in its Index Data Base in a different format (by giving priority to the h1, h2, or bold, title, meta tags etc.), it will not place content as it was published. As a result, the site will appear in search results for optimized keywords.

Google also takes a snapshot of each page on a website and stores it in a different data base which is known as cache data base. If you click on the “Cached” link, you will see the web page as it looked when we indexed it. while, Google creates the index and the database of documents that it accesses when processing a query.

Google Cache :

The Google Cache refers to providing a reprinting content snapshot or it serve the snapshot of the particular webpage.

Google takes a snapshot of each page on a website and stores it in a different data base which is known as Cache Data Base. If someone clicks on the “Cached” link, they will see the web page as it looked when Google indexed it.
